Jumblebee

a passionate group of art workers and technicians have responded to the covid-19 crisis by creating an emergency fund to provide short-term relief to their colleagues and friends in the industry who have lost all of their work and are suffering financially. as well as asking for donations, the art technician emergency fund is holding a silent auction of donated artworks from 15 april to 15 may. this auction of artworks from known and unknown artists will raise funds so that the art technician emergency fund can make cash grants to uk art technicians who are struggling to pay their rent and support themselves and their families. all of the artworks in the art technician emergency fund auction have been generously donated by artists who want to help art workers and technicians - the people who work tirelessly behind the scene to make art institutions, large and small, successful cultural and creative hubs. the auction will be a fantastic opportunity for first time art buyers right through to established collectors to purchase special originals and limited edition artworks. through bidding for art work, buyers will be supporting the very people who are pivotal to the smooth functioning of the art world, and who need an urgent helping hand. we are launching a silent auction of donated artworks in support of uk art technicians during the covid-19 crisis. the auction will start on the 15th of april and run until the 15th of may midnight online here: https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/arttechniciansemergencyfund everybody is invited to view donated artworks up for auction online during this time and participate in bidding for work through the online platform jumblebee. the auction will feature works from both well known and unknown artists. we are a group of four freelance art technicians: sarah titheridge, martina schmuecker, taz lovejoy and katrin hanusch.
