kiwanja redevelopment fund, l.p. (“krf”), is a private equity fund with an operating model that is based on making strategic investments in entities that own or hold brownfield properties located in urban areas that have a redevelopment potential with a post remediated and redeveloped appraised value of between $5m and $25m and promotes the utilization of “green building” concepts during the redevelopment of those urban brownfield properties. the general partner of krf is kiwanja capital partners, llc (“kiwanja capital partners”), which has extensive experience in the design and application of risk transfer tools to manage or eliminate the financial consequences of the liability associated with acquiring properties that have adverse environmental impacts. kiwanja capital partners also has extensive expertise in site assessment; characterization of environmental impairments; design and evaluation of remediation alternatives; implementation of remedial activities; and integration of the remedial activities with the redevelopment activities. krf will undertake those projects that have community support to ensure that those projects create a positive contribution toward planned sustainable community growth, including the incorporation of “green building” concepts into those projects, and to ensure that those redevelopments will result in the injection of new economic vitality into the affected communities.
